For MP3 and WAV leases, beats will come with 1 or 2 tags in the intro only (2 tags if the beat is in collaboration with another producer).

For Trackouts/Stems leases and the Exclusive licence, files will come untagged.

For lease licenses, you must renew the contract when you hit a certain number of streams and units sold (please see above for current terms or your licence for your specific terms). This does not apply to Exclusive licenses.

You must not register your song with any copyrighting service such as YouTube ContentID - this is only allowed if an Exclusive license has been bought.

For all licences, I (and any collaborators on the beat) retain copyright/ownership of the work, including exclusive licences. An Exclusive licence grants you the exclusive right to use the beat.

You must make a reasonable offer for an Exclusive licence based on your sales/profit forecast for your song (e.g. if you will plan to do multiple shows, touring, music videos etc, you should offer higher). If an Exclusive licence is bought, the beat on YouTube will be marked as [SOLD] and I will not allow any more sales/uses. You will be granted the exclusive right to use the beat. However, I (and any collaborators on the beat) retain copyright/ownership of the work.

Please note that the beat you would like may have already been used as a lease licence, and these songs would stay active. You must not take down songs with beats purchased prior to your exclusive purchase (if in doubt about dates, please contact me). Existing leaseholders will retain the right to renew their licence, however they will not have the right to acquire an exclusive licence if this has been granted to you. If songs have been published already using a beat you enquire about, I will ensure I let you know prior to your payment.

For Lease licences, I request 50% of the songwriter/composer publishing royalties are split on your song.

For Exclusive licences, I request between 20%-50% of the songwriter/composer publishing royalties are split on your song. The amount will depend on how much you offer to pay upfront, and this will be agreed prior to payment. 

For both Lease and Exclusive licences, I do not ask for digital streaming or master/sound recording royalties to be split. An exceptional circumstance may be if we agree an alternative arrangement for an Exclusive licence deal.

Failure to comply with the terms and conditions and the individual specifications of your licence will mean that I have the right to submit a takedown request on the platform/s you have uploaded your song to.
